The Bungalow Cottage

The Bungalow has 2 Bedrooms, and sleeps 4.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed.

Bedroom 2 has two single beds

Single bathroom with sink, toilet & shower

480 overall square feet

The Bungalow Cottage rents for $250 a night, with a 2 night minimum; in the summer we typically require a Saturday to Saturday rental period.

The security deposit required at the time of booking is $400 per stay; this amount will be returned to the Renter within 7 days after the rental if no damage or other charges are to be deducted 

If you wish to have us supply your sheets and bath towels (the Linen Service) there is an additional charge of $100 per week.   

The kitchen area has a 12-cup drip coffee maker (with sufficient filters), a full size refrigerator and freezer, a 4 burner propane stove with oven, over-the-stove microwave, and 2-piece toaster. There is also a kitchen table with 4 chairs, matching the stated occupancy of the cottage.

The kitchen comes fully stocked with dishes, glassware, silverware, cooking and serving utensils, and pots and pans for cooking. We will also have hand towels, dish towels and other utility towels (rags) that can be used for cleaning.

You'll also see that we will have sufficient garbage bags for all the trash cans in the cottage, and we also will provide quality paper goods for your use:  paper towels, 2-ply toilet paper, and facial tissues.

As mentioned on our Home Page, the Bungalow now has City of Rochester supplied water for our water service.  (If you had stayed with us before you'll recall that you had to provide your own drinking water — thankfully that's a thing of the past!)

The great room has a digital HD TV and we now provide our guests with a Roku-driven YouTubeTV subscription that you can use for all local broadcasts, and many national network offerings, like ESPN, HGTV, etc. Instructions for how to use this YouTubeTV service are available in the cottage. You, of course, can bring your own smart streaming device if you want (Roku, Firestick, Chromecast, etc.)

In addition to the TV we also have a VCR and DVD player with a large selection of tapes and DVDs to watch.

The Bungalow is fully insulated and has thermostat controlled baseboard heat in the great room, with additional, separately controlled baseboard heaters in each of the two bedrooms.

It has a highspeed Wi-Fi service from a router located inside the Bungalow Cottage itself. The router also accepts hard-wired Ethernet cabling if you need such service.

For comfort in the summer’s hot and humid days, there is a large capacity air conditioner in the great room.  In addition to the air conditioning unit in the great room, we have at least 3 fans available in the Bungalow for your comfort.

In the bedrooms we provide mattress covers, pillows and quilts for the double bed and the two twin beds. Additional blankets, if needed, would be found in the dressers in the bedrooms. We do not supply the sheets or pillowcases for the bedding; so you should bring those with you or you can utilize our “Linen Service” (see the pricing above for more information).

The bathroom has the typical sink, toilet and shower stall. We do supply hand towels for our guest use and we also provide quality toilet paper for your stay.

Outside, the Bungalow Cottage has a large picnic table for your use. There is also a large propane gas grill, and a firepit and chairs. We do not supply the firewood for the firepit, but firewood is available from many nearby road-side stands for a modest fee.

Your Bungalow rental also allows you unlimited use of our 5-person paddle boat, and our 2 kayaks.  We have life jackets available for your use during your stay as well.

The property itself has a beautiful, level walk-in swimming area, floating dock, two aluminum+cedar docks, a large lawn, and plenty of convenient parking.  If you brought your own boat we have plenty of room to let you store your boat trailer during your stay.
